Three hundred fifty-six utility policy makers, managers, friends and vendors braved the hot temperatures to attend the 2005 NWPPA Annual Conference and Membership Meeting at the Palm Springs Hilton, May 22-26.
The agenda for the week's meetings held a little bit in store for all types of leaders. In breakout sessions, there was a track for Policy Management, one for CEOs and general managers, and yet another for new leaders. All were well-attended by enthusiastic public power leaders.
"I got a lot of information from the breakout sessions," said Pat Dymock, board secretary at Lane Electric (Eugene, Ore.). "The presenters made it very interesting."
