Senior tailback Colin Simmons rushed 12 times for 160 yards and scored three touchdowns, leading visiting Fayetteville-Manlius to a 47-6 thumping of defending state Class A champion Maine-Endwell Saturday. The Hornets built a 20-0 halftime lead.
F-M's win ended a 12-game winning streak owned by the host Spartans.
Simmons gathered in a 68-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Isaac Bailey to open the scoring, then added two more scores on runs of 58 and 33 yards. As a receiver, Simmons caught three passes for 82 yards.
