MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Hansen Medical, Inc. announced today that it has entered into a cross license agreement with Intuitive Surgical Inc. (Nasdaq:ISRG) of Sunnyvale, Calif. Currently, Hansen Medical is developing a new robotic technology designed to provide physicians with precise catheter control to assist them in accessing hard-to-reach anatomy in the chambers of the heart.
Under the terms of the agreement, Hansen Medical has the right to use technologies covered under Intuitive Surgical's issued and pending patents in the field of intravascular approaches for the diagnosis or treatment of cardiovascular, neurovascular and peripheral vascular diseases. In ...
