Noticed any kangaroos lately?
In the past week, seven Sentry Marts in Hampton Roads - and 16 more across Virginia - traded their sentries for kangaroos.
It's not an Aussie invasion, but a result of Angus Hines Inc. in Suffolk selling 23 of its 53 convenience stores to The Pantry Inc. headquartered in Sanford, N.C.
The Pantry Inc. operates about 1,400 convenience stores in 11 states. Converting the 23 stores will bring to 60 the total Kangaroo Express stores in Virginia. The chain dispatched hundreds of employees to convert the Hampton Roads stores on ...
