IF YOU pay almost [pounds sterling]500,000 for a new one-bedroom flat you might expect it to be perfect.
But when television cameraman Paul Langridge bought just such a des res in Covent Garden in June he was shocked by what he found.
The wiring was unfinished, wooden flooring needed to be replaced and, he says, "the main ceiling was peeling like an orange."
