WASHINGTON, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, the Bridgestone Global Group of Companies has donated $1 million to the American Red Cross for the hurricane relief effort. More than 2,200 company-owned retail stores across the United States are also offering their customers a way to lend a helping hand by accepting donations on behalf of the Red Cross.
