Dokecki provides a forensic of the sexual abuse crisis by giving us, in six chapters, a multilevel analysis of clergy sexual abuse starting with one fairly thick and detailed case, that of Edward J. McKeown, a former priest from Nashville. While chapter 1 is a compelling expose of the manipulative and coercive power exercised throughout the McKeown case, chapter 2 allows D. to extend his claims to other cases and dioceses, notably Boston.
