As the mental health field engages the concept and the process of transformation, I would like to add an essential dimension to the dialogue that is not recognized frequently. Moreover, I want to be bold about it. My assertion is simple: Transformation of mental health services cannot succeed without fully engaging state-of-the-art information technology.
Successful transformation of the mental health system will require that radical change occur in the way mental health services are organized, delivered, and funded.
