NEW YORK -- Bergdorf Goodman will integrate the telemarketing and order fulfillment operations of its catalog with those of Neiman Marcus in a move that could lead to more ties between the sister companies.
Bergdorf's and Neiman's are divisions of the Neiman Marcus Group, a subsidiary of Harcourt General.
The combination of the catalog operations suggests other joint programs, including shares sales and mailing list information as well as mutual merchandise exclusives in catalogs and stores.
By teaming such efforts, each store stands to gain greater buying clout.
