LOS ANGELES -- A.T. Cross Co. is negotiating to sell its Mark Cross leather goods division, and according to reports, the buyer is Coach Leatherware, a division of Sara Lee Corp.
Mike El-Hillow, vice president of finance for A.T. Cross, acknowledged that negotiations are under way but would not comment on the Coach report.
Executives at Coach could not be reached for comment.
A.T. Cross, a pen company, purchased Mark Cross, which operates retail stores and has a wholesale business, in 1983.
