After listening to concerns by neighbors, and factoring in negative recommendations from the Baldwinsville Planning Board and the Syracuse-Onondaga County Planning Agency, village trustees last week turned down a zone change request for property at 134 E. Genesee St.
Developers Bob Falcone and Mark Bowman wanted the zoning changed from residential to business but neighbors said they were worried about traffic and what the change might do to the character of their neighborhood.
Twelve of 13 homeowners in the area who were against the change signed a petition that was presented to the village board.
