Perot Systems Corporation(NYSE: PER) has announced that its government services subsidiary was awarded a contract from the Department of Education for the operation, maintenance and enhancement of the Education Data Exchange Network (EDEN). The contract includes a three-month base period and four one-year option periods. The total potential value of the contract as awarded is approximately $20 million. The contract also provides for additional enhancements to EDEN as required and ordered by the Department of Education.
