TORONTO - Ford Motor Co. of Canada Ltd. said it is considering following the lead of General Motors Corp.'s Canadian subsidiary into the credit card business.

"Like all good ideas, we're taking a very close look at it," Ford Canada spokesman Jim Hartford said a day after GM unveiled its cobranded Visa card with Toronto Dominion Bank. GM last year introduced a MasterCard in the United States issued by Household Bank.
