At a time when resources for an economic recovery of the entire Southern California region have never been scarcer, the need for a strong Downtown Los Angeles has never been greater. Over the years, downtown has often been misconceived as little more than a towering skyline, beholden to select corporate interests, rather than an economic engine that drives regional prosperity.
