LUKASHENKO UNDERSTANDS WHY YUSHCHENKO SACKED GOVERNMENT

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko supposes Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko did the right thing dismissing the government.

"It's been no news to me. I stay cool about that, as Ukraine was doomed to see that happen. I understand the reasons why Yushchenko has opted to act that way," Lukashenko told a press conference in Minsk on Friday.

The head of state said: "Sooner or later he (Yushchenko) would have to make a move like that without delay, as the government started to rot, which is a dangerous process."
