Starbucks' moon cakes eclipsed by allegations of unsanitary production
Beijing. September 9. INTERFAX-CHINA - Starbucks continues to sell moon cakes after a government report was released showing bacteria levels exceed allowable levels, although the company claims the cakes do not pose a health danger, a Starbucks representative told Interfax.
"We have the test reports and our moon cakes do not pose a health or safety risk," Leon Yang, Marketing manager for Starbucks China told Interfax. Bacterium that is harmful to human health was within safety standards, Yang explained.
