Article: Northrop Grumman Teams With EADS On Air Force Tanker Program.

As expected Northrop Grumman [NOC] and the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Co. (EADS) this week announced that they have teamed to compete for the Air Force's next-generation aircraft tanker program, setting up a duel with Boeing [BA] for the multi-billion dollar program.

Northrop Grumman, acting as prime contractor, will offer the KC-30 for the program, a modified version of the A330 twin-engine passenger jet built by EADS' Airbus division. Northrop Grumman's business unit in Melbourne, Fla., part of its Integrated Systems Sector, will be responsible for program capture and management.
