Sep. 9--CLAYTON -- Hi-Pointe-DeMun residents worry that new guidelines for redevelopment along Clayton Road will bring in large-scale developments that will ruin the character of their historic neighborhood.
For at least two years, many in the neighborhood, situated a stone's throw from Forest Park and north of Clayton Road, have been fighting to keep out large commercial and residential projects.
They believe change along Clayton Road could be the beginning of the end of the neighborhood's small-town yet urban feel. The area's history and architecture have landed it a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. ...
