Maxine L. McBurney formerly of Elgin Maxine L. McBurney, 72, of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at Dorchester Health & Rehabilitation Center in Sturgeon Bay. She was born on June 26, 1933, in Elgin, the daughter of the late Orlow and Alice (nee Taylor) Davis. Maxine was a 1951 graduate of Elgin High School. On June 28, 1986 she married Gordon McBurney in Elgin. Maxine was employed with Lightolier Manufacturing until her retirement. She was an active member of United Methodist Church in South Elgin. Gordon and Maxine moved to Door County, Wis., in 1998. Survivors include her loving husband, Gordon of Sturgeon Bay; daughter, Gina Mayberry of Sturgeon Bay; ...
