It is a sad commentary on the times when one of the foremost American business journals, Forbes, "celebrates" its 75th anniversary, as it did last month, with a special issue theme of "Why we feel so bad."
No, this is not another slam at the negative news media, although I have grown weary of the sordid and bleak on the 10 o'clock news. I am not criticizing Forbes either. In fact, I loved the issue, found it filled with enlightened perspectives on the American malaise, a well traveled topic seemingly paved for cliche.
