WATSONVILLE, Calif. -- West Marine, Inc. (Nasdaq:WMAR) announced today that to their knowledge, all Company associates are safe, but four West Marine stores were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. An additional nine West Marine stores and BoatU.S. Marine Centers were damaged but are currently operating, some functioning on portable generator power.
