OXFORD--When Deborah Hodges Bell was a law student at the University of Mississippi (UM), she was known among her peers for her excellent "skinnies," slang for comprehensive outlines used as study aids. In fact, UM law students found Bell's skinnies so comprehensive and readable that they continued to be passed from one class to the next years after she graduated in 1979.
Now, Bell is leading some of those classes as a professor of law and Mississippi Bell Defense Lawyers Association Distinguished Lecturer at UM. And she has used her skill of taking complex law and putting it in a readable and useable format to write a new book--"Bell on' Mississippi Family Law: ...
