This morning, Jacques Lemaire will walk into his closet, stand on his tippy-toes and reach for his skates. They will need to be dusted off for the first time in 17 months. "I haven't even put them on," the Wild coach swears. "Not once."
Even though the NHL lifer has been skating since he could barely walk, excuse Lemaire if he's a tad uneasy about the first couple of strides he takes this morning. He just prays he doesn't slip in front of his players. "Because I'm a year older," Lemaire reminds.
