Hyannis, Mass. -- He'll be 70 years old in December, and somewhere along the way to his retirement just down the road from here in Osterville, Roy Danforth pretty much decided to go Greta Garbo on us.
Now, he can tell a tale, all right. Few can spin'em the way Roy can. And there's more than a pinch of rascal in the man, who's got a wink and a smile that have been used on many a restaurant hostess. So, if you were ever to get stuck waiting for an overdue bus, you could do a lot worse than whiling away the time on a bench with Roy Danforth.
Still, there's a part of him that wants to be left alone. ...
