Polish oil firm PKN Orlen awaiting counteroffer from Czech Agrofert on Unipetrol assets
In an escalating conflict between PKN Orlen, Poland's largest refiner, and Czech chemicals company Agrofert over the sale of PKN-controlled Czech oil firm Unipetrol's chemical subsidiaries, PKN said it has made an offer to Agrofert but not received a response yet, this just hours after Agrofert claimed that PKN's unwillingness to sell could cost it upwards of EUR 350 mln.
"We have sent our offer to Agrofert. They know our position but we won't reveal the details of the offer because we don't want to start communicating with Agrofert via the media," PKN Orlen ...
