Q. We're new to the area and just this year got our garden and beds in order. It's time now to turn to the lawn, which is mostly fescue. While no monoculturalist lawn fanatic, I can see we've a problem with crabgrass. We also have a tall, lighter green, more upright grass, which I think is called nut grass. Patches of some sort of aggressive broad leaf clover are spreading, too.
Can you recommend a timetable and products for shaping up this yard for next year? I'd also appreciate your thoughts on repairing areas of this clover after I douse it with Roundup. - Rick Kennerly, Virginia Beach.
