Delivering a maximum of 7,250 kW, the Cat 3618 is the most powerful member of the Caterpillar branded medium-speed marine engines. One of many successful installations is in Highspeed 5, a vehicle/passenger catamaran built for Hellenic Seaways--formerly known as Hellas Flying Dolphins--by Australia's Austal Ships.

Highspeed 5 is an aluminum catamaran with a length of 85 meters, a beam of 21.2 meters and maximum dead weight of 470 tonnes. The vessel carries 809 passengers, up to 154 cars and has a crew of 26.
