Sep. 14--San Bernardino County's housing prices are catching up to Riverside County's after trailing for almost a decade, with western San Bernardino County undergoing a renaissance of housing and retail development and job growth.
In August, San Bernardino's median home price hit a record $344,000, just $44,000 less than the median sales price in Riverside County. San Bernardino County's median home sales price last month was almost 32 percent higher than a year earlier, while in the same time period Riverside County's median rose 16.2 percent.
