MANILA, Sept 14 Asia Pulse - Despite the Philippine government running on a huge budget deficit, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) is least worried, assured that funds for the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) will continue to flow into its coffer over the next three years.
DAR Secretary Nasser Pangandaman said the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) reported to him that over P23 billion (US$411.6 million) worth of recovered ill-gotten assets of the Marcoses and its associates are now up for sale and the proceeds of which would go to CARP.
