Inner Mongolia endeavors to control pollution in silicon iron and coke industries
Shanghai. January 13. INTERFAX-CHINA - North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region will further strengthen its control over substandard production and pollution problems in the carbide, silicon iron, coke, coal and cement industries in 2005. An official surnamed Hu with the Inner Mongolia Environmental Protection Bureau's general affairs office told Interfax that the government would strictly abide by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) regulations to eliminate companies with low level technology and high energy consuming production in the five industries.
