Chinese firms beat South Africa giant to win power project in Zimbabwe
Shanghai. November 11. INTERFAX-CHINA - Two Chinese firms, the China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corporation (Catic) and the China Electric Technology Import and Export Corporation (Cetic) recently reached agreements with the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (Zesa) to invest in the expansion of two power-generation plants there, beating Eskom, the largest power supplier in South Africa, officials involved in the deal confirmed to Interfax.
