Toshiba to cease laptop PC production in the Philippines and continue expansion plan in China
Shanghai. December 22. INTERFAX-CHINA - Toshiba has decided to stop production of laptop PCs in the Philippines by the end of December. The company says it has implemented the move in a hope to reduce the ratio of production at its own factories. Despite this claimed incentive, Toshiba's expansion plan for its China factory will not be changed by the termination of production in the Philippines.
