Embassy official appraises Chinese mining in Gabon
Shanghai December 22. INTERFAX-CHINA-Zhang Ju, the official handling the Economic and Commercial Counselor's Office of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Gabon told Interfax that though Gabon contains rich mineral resources, there are many difficulties for Chinese investors to develop mines in the country.
The China Metallurgical Equipment Importation & Exportation Company (CMEC) is the latest company to eye the West African nation's mineral resources. A representative group of the CMEC carried out a ten-day investigation in Gabon between December 9 and December 19.
