Chinese stock market retreated after second IPO of new year
Shanghai. January 25. INTERFAX-CHINA - China's stock market failed to extend its rally for a third day with the second stock market offering of the new year once again eroding investor confidence. The benchmark Shanghai composite index fell 0.12% to end at 1, 254.86 points.
The approval by the China Securities Regulatory Commission of the second IPO of the new year, by Qianyuan Power, reminded investors of their pessimism about the market's overall prospects.
