China Unicom receives license to establish CDMA network in Macau
Shanghai. March 15. INTERFAX-CHINA. - China Unicom's subsidiary in Macau has been granted a license to build a CDMA2000 1X network in the special administrative region, Macau regulators said.
"China Unicom (Macau) must pay license fees of MOP 100,000 (USD 1,200) to the Macau government within 15 days of the license being issued," an official with Macau's Telecommunications and Information Technology Development Office, surnamed Zhang, told Interfax. Authorities granted China Unicom the license on March 11, 2005.
