COOS BAY - David Nutting knew exactly how long it had been since South Eugene won at Marshfield.
"Apparently 32 years, the last time my dad played," the South Eugene senior said.
Jeff Nutting was wearing his South Eugene letter jacket while he celebrated with his son after the Axemen beat Marshfield 13-0 in a Friday night Midwestern League football game at Pete Susick Stadium.
Jeff Nutting was a senior for South Eugene when the Axemen defeated Marshfield 43-12 in 1973, and no South Eugene team had won here since.
