FRANK Hadden, rugby's answer to Walter Smith, was officially appointed Scotland coach yesterday after he was offered the chance to succeed Matt Williams.
The announcement confirmed the SRU's worst-kept secret and means Hadden, like Smith - who replaced Berti Vogts - will take charge after the disastrous reign of Scotland's first foreign coach.
