Diabetes is a condition in which the amount of glucose in the blood is too high, because the body cannot use it properly.

The hormone insulin, produced by the pancreas, is vital for life. It helps glucose enter the cells to be used as fuel by the body.

The main symptoms of untreated diabetes are increased thirst, needing the toilet all of the time ( especially at night ( extreme tiredness, weight loss and blurred vision.
