Military leaders play an exceptionally important role in the activities of troops (forces). The effectiveness of fulfilling their duties placed on them by the government depends to a large extent on the level of their authority [the word in Russian is avtoritet meaning both authority and prestige] enhancing which is essential for both military leaders and society.
In order to understand the process of enhancing authority of a military leader we should clear up a number of important points, namely, its substance as a certain system of functional forms of the elements of authority relations, and their determination by various factors.
