ARLINGTON, Texas _ With his shaggy-haired `do and his fuzzy soul patch, it's not hard to imagine Josh Rupe fronting a `70s Southern rock band, like .38 Special or Molly Hatchet.
Oh, he's part of a group all right. It's the Sinkerballers, a group of Rangers rookies who are giving the organization hope for the future where starting pitching is concerned.
Overcoming a shaky first inning, Rupe sank his way to a 5-3 win over Seattle on Friday in his major league debut. Rupe, who lasted five innings, became the first Ranger starter in four years to win his debut.
