Athough PlayStation Portable owners will have plenty to choose from in the last three months of 2005, few of those holiday PSP games are the stuff that sells new PSP hardware. However, if consumer fascination with Sony's handheld remains as strong as it has been since its March release, the low number of marquee games might not be an issue.
"As the new kid on the block, there is a lot of pent-up demand for the PSP, and its sales are not yet driven by software," says David Cole, president of research firm DFC Intelligence.
