Sep. 17--The Museum of New Mexico Board of Regents voted unanimously Friday to accept a donation of land and buildings in Lincoln from racetrack owner R.D. Hubbard.
The acquisition is contingent on a title search, an environmental site assessment and examination of the inventory to make sure it matches Hubbard's offer.
The properties would become part of the Lincoln State Monument.
The state already owns 10 historic properties in the town.
The new properties would cost the state about $175,000 in annual salaries for four new employees and another $75,000 for utilities, according to monument manager DeAnn ...
