Sep. 16--Las Vegas is better known for its ties to boxer Oscar de la Hoya than clothing designer Oscar de la Renta, more synonymous with Siegfried & Roy than Dolce & Gabbana.
But this week, a Strip-centric message has crashed New York's most-fashionable party thanks to a clever push to promote this city's retail offerings before the design industry elite.
