Well, that was fun. Now it's time to get down to serious business.
The Gophers football team completed its romp through the nonconference portion of its schedule Saturday night with a third consecutive blowout, a 46-7 dismantling of Division I-A newcomer Florida Atlantic before an announced crowd of 40,709 at the Metrodome.
The Gophers made quick work of the overmatched Owls, leaving plenty of time to start looking ahead to this week's Big Ten opener against Purdue in what will be arguably the most important game of the season.
