New AIA documents define "joint" duties for CM and architect. (American Institute of Architects, construction managers)

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) has issued new documents that clarify the role of construction managers in relation to architects and other project participants. Included are forms for contracts between architects and owners, construction managers and owners, and contractors and owners. Unlike documents published by the Construction Management Association of America, The AIA documents fail to delineate between an arhitect's design responsibilities and his construction tasks.
