LOUIS BUVELOT (1814-1888) is considered an outstanding landscape painter by art lovers and critics in both Brazil and Australia. Even more remarkable is that he was so regarded by those amongst whom he lived and worked in each country: in Brazil between 1835-1852 and in Australia from 1865 to his death in 1888.
