The International Quilt Festival: each October, Houston hosts the world's largest gathering of designers, dealers, and quilters, all pursuing their passion.(special feature)

Can you imagine? It began in 1974. Thirty years later, the International Quilt Festival has become the largest annual quilt show, sale, and quilt-making academy in the world. The 2004 edition attracted a record 53,989 attendees from more than three dozen countries! The dates for the 2005 Festival in Houston are October 27-30, with classes beginning October 24.
