Sep. 23--The Voodoo Music Experience, with a mission to help restore and rebuild New Orleans through song, will resound from Memphis on Halloween weekend.
The national festival, displaced from the Big Easy by Hurricane Katrina, is set for Oct. 29-30 at Tom Lee Park.
Nine Inch Nails is the lone officially announced act. But founder and producer Stephen Rehage said Thursday the original lineup -- including Foo Fighters, The Flaming Lips, Joss Stone, Billy Idol, Social Distortion, Digable Planets and New Orleans legends the Neville Brothers and Dr. John is expected to remain intact, with possible additions.
