Dr. Phil gives WMAQ daytime ratings jolt
Television host Phil McGraw's move from WMAQ-TV/Channel 5 to WBBM-TV/Channel 2 this fall has jolted afternoon ratings. Through Sept. 15, the first day of the fall season, Channel 2's ratings from 4 to 5 p.m., when it airs "The Dr. Phil Show,'' are up 173% over last year, moving it up one notch to second place from third among the three major networks in Chicago.
