It's all about personality - even with dogs.
When it comes to picking out a new canine pal, the experts have this advice: match the dog to your personality.
Different breeds have different tendencies and temperaments, said Patty Richards, executive director of the Central New York SPCA, and not every person will work well with every breed.
"A lot of people just see a dog that looks good to them, and that's the breed they want," Richards said.
